As part of the application process, students must complete the appropriate required standardized test during the current academic year and prior to the stated application deadline (the June test will not be accepted). This is the first step in the formal application process to Phillips Academy. The Candidate Profile is submitted online with the appropriate application fee. It is accepted by several peer schools to ease the application process for students and their families. Prospective students are encouraged to submit this form well in advance of the stated application deadline. In addition to a cognitive standardized test, we strongly recommend that our applicants complete the Character Skills Snapshot and share their results with us. The CSS offers our admission office richer holistic information that will help us to get to know your child in a multi-dimensional way. Exploring a variety of non-cognitive areas (intellectual curiosity, teamwork, initiative, responsibility, resilience, self-control, open-mindedness, and social awareness), the CSS is an engaging self-inventory exercise that applicants will enjoy completing.
