Term 3 Schedules Sent Today
Students are being sent their spring term schedules today, Wednesday, March 1. Early course add/drop/change requests will be accepted March 1–2.
The regular on-campus add/drop/change process will resume on Thursday March 23. The deadline to add a new course is Wednesday, March 29.
- Students may only submit course add/drop requests during this early add/drop period (March 1–2) if the requested course was originally included on their Course Request Form (CRF). These requests do not need to be signed by the advisor or college counselor.
- Requests for courses that were not originally included on the student’s CRF may be submitted starting Thursday, March 23, and will need approval from your student’s advisor (and college counselor, if applicable).
- Students who receive incomplete schedules (fewer than five classes for juniors, lowers, and uppers, or seniors wishing to add a fifth course) should be in touch with Mr. Shows right away.
A note about teacher changes: Students may occasionally find themselves assigned to a different teacher or section in continuing courses for the next term. These changes are necessary for a host of reasons, including faculty leaves and sabbaticals, new teacher workloads, the need to balance section sizes, and the scheduling of other courses. We understand that the prospect of a teacher change can make some students nervous. We encourage you to help students develop the resilience they need to embrace change as a necessary part of life and filled with wonderful opportunities. Please note that we do not honor schedule requests for particular teachers or periods. Policy related to requesting a change of teacher may be found in The Blue Book.

PA Visitor/Guest Health & Safety Guidelines
On-Campus Visitors: In consideration of the health and safety of visitors and our campus community, we expect visitors to be up to date with COVID vaccination, if eligible. We expect visitors to mask at all times or stay off campus if they are a close contact of someone who has tested positive for COVID in the last 10 days, if they are within 10 days of having been diagnosed with COVID, and/or if they have any symptoms of respiratory illness. In the spirit of non sibi (not for self), the Academy trusts that campus visitors will follow these guidelines.
Guests at Off-Campus/Regional Events: In consideration of the health and safety of our Andover community, we ask attendees to be up to date with COVID vaccination, if eligible. We require all attendees to adhere to the public health guidelines established by the CDC and your state and local health officials, as well as to follow venue guidelines and regulations that are in place at the time of the event. Venue-specific guidelines will be shared close to the event date. Prior to attending, we ask that you monitor your health. We expect attendees to mask at all times—or not attend the event—if they are a close contact of someone who has tested positive for COVID in the last 10 days, if they are within 10 days of having been diagnosed with COVID, and/or if they have any symptoms of respiratory illness. In the spirit of non sibi, the Academy trusts that those in attendance will follow these guidelines.
