Students received their spring term schedules on Wednesday, March 5. Early course add/drop/change requests will be accepted on March 6 and March 7.
The regular on-campus add/drop/change process will resume Tuesday, March 25, through Friday, March 28. The last day to add a new course is March 28.
|
- During the early add/drop/change period (March 6 & 7), students may only submit course add/drop/change requests for courses originally included on their Course Request Form (CRF). These requests do not need to be signed by their advisor or college counselor.
-
Starting Tuesday, March 25, requests for courses not originally included on the student’s CRF may be submitted and will require approval from the student’s advisor (and college counselor for uppers and seniors).
- Students with incomplete schedules (less than five classes for juniors, lowers, and uppers, or seniors looking to add a fifth course) should contact Associate Dean of Studies for Scheduling Mika Latva-Kokko immediately.
|
A note about instructor changes: Students may occasionally find themselves assigned to a different instructor or section in continuing courses for the next term. These changes are necessary for a host of reasons, including faculty leaves and sabbaticals, new instructor workloads, the need to balance section sizes, and the scheduling of other courses. We understand that the prospect of an instructor change can make some students uncomfortable. We encourage you to help your student develop the resilience they need to embrace change as a necessary part of life and filled with wonderful opportunities. Please note that we do not honor schedule requests for particular instructors or periods. Policy related to requesting a change of instructor may be found in The Blue Book posted on The Hive.

Important Security Update |
Starting Tuesday, March 18, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) will be required to access The Hive, BlueLink, and the Andover Family Directory. To ensure a smooth transition, families must set up MFA on their Andover account (username@andover.edu) before March 18.
What You Need to Do:
|
Once enabled, MFA will require an additional verification step at login, such as a text message code or authenticator app.
Need help? Contact the OIT Helpdesk by email or call 978-749-4357. Thank you for helping us enhance account security!

The 2025–2026 housing process for returning boarders is underway. Cluster deans and house counselors are engaging with students on housing placements for the upcoming school year. As a reminder, we provide support services and reasonable accommodations to students who qualify under the Americans with Disabilities Act. The deadline to request any type of disability accommodation that is related to housing for the 2025–2026 school year is Thursday, March 27, at noon. Requests related to housing made after the deadline will likely not be accommodated. A family member can complete the “Reasonable Accommodations Request” form in the Medical Health Portal and upload supporting documentation. Supporting documentation may also be emailed to Student Accessibility Services. If you have any questions about this process, please email Laura Warner, director of the Academic Skills Center and Student Accessibility Services.

A special section for families of seniors! Read along for upcoming deadlines.
Senior Prom: PA’s Senior Prom is scheduled for Friday, May 30. Prom tickets are $165 per person; this ticket includes transportation, dinner, and entertainment for the evening. Financial aid is available for prom tickets; for more information, please email the Financial Aid Office. Details on how students can purchase prom tickets will be shared during spring term. Please note that the prom is exclusively for PA seniors; guests or dates from other grades or outside the Academy are not permitted.
To streamline preparations, we have partnered with Russo Tux & Formal Wear, who will handle tuxedo/suit fittings and rentals. We also work with a local florist who will offer wristlets and boutonnieres. Although not mandatory, using these vendors simplifies the process, as they deliver to campus and accept major credit cards.
Class Rings: You can purchase a class ring for your senior through our vendor, Herff Jones. Visit the Herff Jones website for more information. Questions? Please email our ring vendor, Mike McCann.
2025 Commencement: We look forward to welcoming the families of the Class of 2025 to celebrate Commencement on June 1. For a complete schedule of events and FAQs to help you plan ahead, please visit the Commencement webpage.
