Vaccine TalliesOn May 18, more than 200 students in the newly eligible 12- to 15-year-old cohort received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. By the end of today, approximately 460 older students will have received their second dose—all thanks to arrangements spearheaded by the Sykes Wellness Center team and the assistance of dozens of campus volunteers. Many students have received vaccines off campus, resulting in a reported 900 students having received one or more doses of the vaccine.

More Good News for Sports Fans
Beginning tomorrow, up to four family members of all student-athletes competing at Andover—indoors and outdoors—may now attend Andover home contests.
Spectator Policy Update: As of May 21, we are pleased to extend the opportunity for up to four family members from Andover’s visiting teams as well as four Andover family members to spectate at the final games this weekend.
- All visitors are expected to wear masks at all times.
- Visitors should not enter the Snyder Center or ice rink for bathroom use or food counter. Port-a-potties are available near/at all athletic venues.
- We also ask that visitors do not sit in the same areas/sections as our student-athletes. Please abide by signage directing spectators to non-student areas.

Advising Next Year
We made some important changes this year to the boarding student advising system (consolidating the roles of advisor and point person while separating the role of point person from house counselor) because residential contexts were unstable. Next year we will return to our normal system: day students have a single advisor point person in the role of Day Student Advisor, and the point person for boarders will be the house counselor. Boarders will have a variety of advising structures, some dorm-related and some not. New advisor assignments will be finalized in late August, after student and faculty housing are settled.
We don’t expect advisors to provide support over the summer break. Questions about program and transcripts can emailed to the Dean of Studies Office; questions related to college should be emailed to College Counseling.
