Grades & Progress Reports: Reminder |
From the Dean of Studies Office: Mid-point grades and progress reports will be posted on The Hive on Wednesday, October 18. At the Term 1 (fall) mid-point, all students will receive brief progress reports from each of their instructors. Reports will be written directly to the student in the second person, and they will be viewable by both students and families.
An update was recently made to The Hive. Please review the following tutorial if you are logging in for the first time.
|
The guidance and feedback contained in the mid-point reports is intended to provide advice for students at a time in the term when they can still act on teachers’ suggestions for improvement. Students will hear from instructors in writing again at the end of Term 1 and at the end of Term 3 (spring term).

CCO News for Families of Uppers |
The College Counseling Office (CCO) looks forward to working with this year’s 11-graders. To give you a sense of how that partnership will begin, here is a timeline:
|
- Mid-December: Uppers and families will be given access to Naviance, the software we use to facilitate the college application process.
-
Early January: Assigned college counselors will reach out to students and families to introduce themselves.
- January: The CCO will share curriculum information and an overview of what’s to come; students will begin their one-on-one meetings with their counselors.
|
PSAT issue on Wednesday: On Wednesday, October 11, College Board experienced challenges delivering its first-ever on-line PSAT test administration to test sites across the United States—including Andover. The PSAT was delayed approximately two hours before uppers were able to take the two-hour and 15-minute exam (the Academy had no control over this situation). Andover will work with College Board to determine next steps.
Fortunately, all registered uppers were able to complete the exam, and all exams were uploaded to College Board.
