End of Term Information
As we approach the last week of the term, please take note:
| |
Monday, November 15 is a conference day. Teachers will be available in their classrooms during the regularly scheduled time. These are “open hours”: students do not need to attend and can come and go as they need.
From Tuesday, November 16 through Friday, November 19, each class will meet once, according to the special schedule provided. All classes will meet in person, and attendance for all students is required.
The fall term ends at 3 p.m. on Friday, November 19. No teacher may accept any additional work from a student after that moment.
Any possible exception to these policies—if a student falls ill, has a family emergency—must be approved by the director of studies in collaboration with the medical director.

Health and Wellness Update
As of Wednesday, November 3, the PA campus/community’s COVID-19 transmission level is Green (lowest risk). The campus testing positivity rate in the past seven days is 0%. Please visit our COVID-19 Testing Dashboard for public health metrics, local and campus risk levels based on our best available data, and the resulting action plan for the upcoming week from Dr. Amy Patel, Sykes Wellness Center medical director.
As of November 3, 76% of PA students have received the seasonal flu vaccine and 99.2% are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Looking ahead to winter term, we return on Wednesday, December 1 and will be in the Orange (modified campus arrival quarantine) zone through Wednesday, December 8. Risk zone will be reassessed on December 8.
Reminders about what each zone means will be communicated in detail. Please note that we plan to keep dining open in Paresky Commons through all zones unless data suggests a campus outbreak.

Important Reminder from the Comptroller's Office
Please make sure to review your student’s account on FACTS, our online student billing portal, to ensure your account is current. Your balance may include additional fall charges, payments, and credits.
If you elected a two-payment plan, please note that all outstanding tuition balances are due in full by Monday, November 15. If you have already reviewed your student’s account and taken appropriate actions, thank you. If your student still has an outstanding balance, please remit your payment through the FACTS system by November 15 so that your student’s account may be cleared for winter term.
For your convenience, you can make payments on the FACTS portal by using your bank account or credit card (a 2.85% convenience fee is applied for credit card payments). New this year, FACTS has partnered with Western Union to allow international payments to be made directly on the FACTS site.
