News, Events, & Announcements for Andover Parents |
Best holiday wishes to all of our Andover families.
An Important Message from the Comptroller’s Office:
Tuition statements were mailed at the end of October and payments are due in full on December 1st. If you did not receive your statement, or have any questions, please e-mail billing@andover.edu as soon as possible. Include the student’s name, ID number and your billing address in your email so that staff can check their records and send out a replacement bill.
Please keep in mind that the academy will be closed for the holidays on December 24, 2009 and will reopen on January 4, 2010. Students whose accounts have not been paid in full will not be able to access their schedules on-online and will not be cleared for registration. Also, to avoid delays at the Andover Bookstore, please make sure that your student’s BlueCard is fully funded prior to his/her return on January 3, 2010.
Parent Connect Webinar: Bullying & Harassment
Monday, December 7th, 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. EST
Build your parenting portfolio with the means to help your teen develop effective communication skills and “tried and true” bystander intervention strategies for violence prevention. Find out how to encourage your teen to speak up to peers about offensive comments or off color jokes. Research indicates that teen bystanders who confront violent attitudes and behaviors provide a critical opportunity to prevent violence altogether. Register for this webinar via the Parent Connect Webinar link on the Parent Portal.
H1N1 Update
Dr. Keller reports that since November 11th there have been no new cases of suspected H1N1 flu on campus. Credit goes to the entire PA community for all efforts to stop the spread of the virus.
